V.R.Laurence

Life Story

Born in October 1986, V.R.Laurence grew up in Transylvania, Romania where she resided until moving to England in 2017.

At an early age she found extreme enjoyment in drawing but it wasn’t until about the age of 11 that she realised art was something she could excel at.

Later, though, she made the decision to pick up a camera instead of a pencil and attend university to attain a degree in photography, as this seemed a more viable career path.

During this time she discovered that photography didn’t fulfil her aspirations and only served to confirm that traditional art was where her true passion lay.

Upon reaching this conclusion she made the brave decision to change course completely and, so, began the long journey of learning and honing her artistic skills.

In the process of this pursuit she developed a keen eye for mood, lighting, and atmosphere, which really set her apart from other artists, and went on to develop her very own creatively distinctive style.

After attending university and attaining her degree she landed her first major freelancing project illustrating a book written by a child’s author.

At the end of 2017 she made the life changing decision to move to England in the hopes of taking her artistic career to newer and more challenging levels.

Less than two years later she was fated to meet a fellow artist who immediately saw the staggering beauty, and untapped potential, in her artistic creations.

Her days are now filled creating art with passion and love.
